ShopReady Privacy Policy

In short: ShopReady does not collect, sell or share your data. There are no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Your shopping list is kept in your own iCloud and shared only with the people you invite.

What ShopReady stores, and where

Your items, lists, shops, meals and shopping history are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud sync is on, they are also stored in your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. The developer of ShopReady cannot see or access this data. Apple's handling of iCloud data is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Sharing with your household

If you invite people to your list, they can see and change the shared list, including the items, meals, shops and the first name you entered. You can stop sharing at any time from Profile → Household.

Location

If you save a shop, ShopReady uses your location to record where it is. If you turn on automatic shop sessions, it uses iOS region monitoring to notice when you arrive at or leave a saved shop. Your location is used only on your iPhone and is never sent to the developer or anyone else. Location access is optional.

Camera and photos

The camera and photos you choose are used only to scan barcodes, read product labels and read recipes. This is done on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework; photos are not uploaded. If you keep a picture of an item, a small thumbnail is stored with your list (and in your iCloud if sync is on).

Siri

If you ask Siri to add something to your list, Siri passes the item to ShopReady on your iPhone. Apple's handling of Siri requests is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children

ShopReady does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Deleting your data

Deleting ShopReady removes its data from your iPhone. To remove the iCloud copy, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage → ShopReady and delete its data, or turn off iCloud sync in the app first.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
